For they say that life is a journey...
Once one of my friends who had visited my orkut profile had casually mentioned that my photo album resembled more like a travel guide. So if I started a blog, the primary purpose, more than anything was to share my travelling experience.

REWIND
I remember having heard my ma talk about my pa travelling to many places, adding that Librans have the trait of being a traveler. Never had I been disappointed being a scorpion, as if my stars stopped me from going places. Superstitious as it may seem, I found solace with the palmists. They never had anything sensible or useful to tell me but I loved hearing them say’ ezhu kadalum thaandi mol pokum [you would cross the 7 seas and go places]’…I never crossed the seas but I did get to travel a lot.
PLAY
What was once an obsession has since turned into a great passion. Initially it was study tours part of my academics which exposed me to places. The traveler in me woke up and it was with much resistance from my parents that I ventured out on my own. The 10 day long Rajasthan trip with Reenu remains the best till date, as does the expedition into the Bonacad forests.
Understanding each of these places, the people, their attitudes, and their culture has in some way or the other given me a better insight of the world surrounding me. It has strengthened my notion that there is an architect out there working on the details.
FAST FORWARD
Vast as this universe is, I have always found myself reduced to somebody without any identity. So in a way i am on a very selfish move, I am on a quest to realize myself. Trying to zero in on me by understanding those around me.
There is this recurring dream of me going to the Himalayas when in my 40’s and settling in the valleys. Surrounded by the trees, flowers, birds and animals, I would like to prepare myself for the final journey.
